How it Works for Clients

Here's a step-by-step guide to the entire 99Copywriters process, from beginning to end.

Please read through the guide before posting a project so that you will know what to expect.

  1. Sign up for an account at 99Copywriters. Before you can start posting projects, you'll need an account. Go to the Registration page or click here to create your account. Once you create an account, you can begin posting projects.
  2. Create your new project. To start a new project, click on the "Start a Project" link or click here.
  1. You choose your payment option. Send $49 through PayPal to post your project. If you want your project given priority at the top of the page, it only costs $99 to post a Priority Project.
  2. You receive a payment confirmation and we post your project. We also create a "private room" for your project so that you can review the copywriters bidding for the project.
  1. When the bidding period you have decided on expires, your "private room" closes to new entries. Then it's your turn to decide on the best copywriter for your project.
  2. Once you select a copywriter, they are then asked to accept the project.
  3. After the copywriter accepts the project, you pay 50% of the bid price directly to the copywriter.
  4. The copywriter notifies you that they have received payment. Once this happens, you have the opportunity to discuss the project in greater detail with the copywriter, and agree on a deadline for the work. You write down the project details and send them to the copywriter. This may be done more effectively by phone or email.
  5. The copywriter acknowledges that they have received the project details. The deadline for the project is calculated from this point.
  6. The copywriter gets to work on the project. They may contact you for further clarification or questions.
  7. When the deadline approaches, the copywriter notifies you that the project is complete.
  8. After you receive notification about your completed project, you send the remaining 50% of the project compensation to the copywriter.
  9. The copywriter acknowledges the received payment and sends you the completed project.
  10. You accept the completed project and begin testing the copy. You both agree to a 30-day testing period in which the copywriter assists you with any changes needed.
  11. You post feedback for your copywriter about the project.

How it Works for Copywriters

Here's a step-by-step guide to the entire 99Copywriters process, from beginning to end.

  1. Apply to become approved for 99Copywriters. All of our copywriters must be approved before they can bid for projects. The application process consists of your ability to show your stuff in response to short specific assignments. You have up to two weeks to complete these assignments but it shouldn't take that long.   1. Once you are approved, make sure you have a completed profile. Clients will look at your profile along with your samples when making a decision.
  1. Find a project you are interested in, or one that you think fits your skills and talents. Read through the project description and write a headline and lead for that project. Also come up with a bid for that project - the price for your services.
  2. Submit your bid and your sample headline to the "private room" for the project. You will only be able to see the other bids for the project once you have posted your own. Only copywriters who submit at least one entry within the first 48 hours of the project being posted are permitted to continue to submit copy for the project once the first 48 hours have elapsed. You may add additional entries to your bid or modify your bid through discussions with the client via our private messenger service.
  3. When the bidding period for the project expires, the "private room" closes to new entries. The client reviews the bids and chooses a copywriter for the project. If you are chosen, you are then asked to accept the project.
  4. Once you accept the project, the client sends you 50% of the bid price.
  5. After you receive payment, you discuss the project with the client in greater detail. You also agree on a deadline for the work. The client will send you the project details in writing. You and the client are free to contact one another by phone if desired. We suggest you listen carefully to what the client wants in order to deliver the highest standard of service.
  6. You acknowledge that you have received the project details. The deadline for the project is calculated from this point.
  7. You begin work on the project. You should contact the client for further clarification or questions. We can not emphasize strongly enough the need to communicate effectively with your client.
  8. As the deadline approaches, you complete the project and notify the client that the project is complete.
  9. After the client receives notification about your completed project, they send you the remaining 50% of the project compensation.
  10. You acknowledge the received payment and send the client the completed project.
  11. The client accepts the completed project and begins testing the copy. You both agree to a 30-day testing period in which you assist the client with any changes needed.
  1. The client will post feedback for you about the project.
  2. You may work with this client or any other client outside of 99Copywriters. Of course, following our system may assist in more clear communication, an established proceedure, and better jobs.
  3. Start looking for another project...
